Advocating For Global Communication
Rickey Bevington is a leading voice for international dialogue and media independence. Her TEDx talk "The Future Of News Is In Our Hands" advocates for people to invest in quality news sources and she has written on press freedoms in the US and Europe.

​Bevington is a 2022-2023 Leadership Fellow of the International Women's Forum studying executive leadership at INSEAD Europe and Harvard Business School. She was a Young Leader of the French-American Foundation from 2020-2022. In 2019, Bevington joined journalists from five countries traveling through Ukraine observing propaganda and voter engagement during the election of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The year prior, she received a grant to survey media freedoms in Hungary and in Serbia

Bevington was a 2014 recipient of the Marshall Memorial Fellowship of the German Marshall Fund of the United States examining transatlantic relations in Belgium, Sweden, Montenegro, Poland and Germany. In 2013, Bevington was a Legislative Fellow of the U.S. Department of State analyzing Tamil politics in Sri Lanka and India. The Middle East Travel Seminar selected her in 2011 to study historical and religious sites in Jordan, Israel, Sinai, and Greece.
